Our Aims

“Working together to be better together”

The Chelmsford Schools Partnership believes that all children have a right to experience inspirational and creative opportunities, carefully planned to enhance their learning We also believe in the power of collaborative school improvement – collaboratively we can achieve so much more than alone.

Fundamentally, we are committed to working collaboratively with in order to develop exceptional teaching and learning throughout our locality.

Our work focuses on 3 key strands:

  • Initial Teacher Training – Recruiting, training and retaining high quality teachers
  • Continuing Professional Development – Providing high quality workforce development for staff to ensure excellence in pupil learning in relation to current roles and succession planning for career development within and beyond the Partnership.
  • School to School Support – Building a culture of valued school to school support using the expertise available across the partnership.

 

We also place a strong emphasis on developing and promoting research informed practice.

How we deliver:

  • Initial Teacher Training – via the Essex Primary SCITT and EYITT programmes. We also provide support and professional development for Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
  • Continuing Professional Development/Workforce development – a comprehensive programme of training opportunities, updates and courses informed by the current needs of our member schools and national and local priorities.
  • School to school support – promoting and facilitating partnerships and the sharing and joint development of expertise and best practice.

Core purpose of the Big 3:

Initial Teacher Training – Recruiting, training and retaining high quality teachers across a range of subjects and across phases, based on local need.

CPD/Workforce Development – The development of all staff to ensure excellence in pupil learning in relation to current roles and succession planning for career development within and beyond the TSA.

School to school support – To build a culture of valued school to school support which is well brokered, timely and effective, using all the expertise available in and beyond the Alliance

How we deliver:

  • Initial Teacher Training – via the Essex Primary SCITT and EYITT programmes. We also provide a comprehensive programme of professional development for Newly Qualified teachers and those moving beyond their first year in teaching (RQTs).
  • Continuing Professional Development/Workforce development – a comprehensive programme of training opportunities, updates and courses informed by the current needs of our member schools and national and local priorities.
  • School to school support – promoting and facilitating partnerships and the sharing and joint development of expertise and best practice. We also support the delivery of the DFE School Improvement Strategy.
